This guy might just have the greatest job ever! Sometimes baby otters get orphaned or even abandoned from their mothers. Luckily Carl and his team are here to save the day. At the Monterey Aquarium in California, Carl and his team take in pups that are as young as a day old, they then bottle feed them formula to re-hydrate them, and groom them just like their mother would do.
Carl wears a mask as to hide his face so that the baby otter doesn't become attached and think that he's their mother. This will help the pup survive in the wild once released again.
Otters have up to 1 million hairs per square inch on their bodies and are one of the furriest animals on the planet. Along with re-hydrating them, Carl and his team also run a sort of baby otter salon by drying them up, cleaning them, brushing their hair, etc...
