Using just a 2 lb hammer and about 20 metal stakes, this man splits a 26,000 piece of granite in half in just about an hours time. Sure the video is basically a guy hammering a stone for about 6 minutes or so, but there's just something quite calming and relaxing about watching him lightly hammer away and get such a massive result from what seems like not that much work. It also makes you wonder if this is a similar technique that was used to create the pyramids or other old monolithic structures that were made from stone or granite.
Stone cutting sure seems like it would be a rewarding hobby to take up. Now I just need to grab a small hammer and some stakes and find a rock somewhere.
